The Brooke Burke cancer diagnosis

Most fans of Brook Burke were shocked as the model announced that she had been diagnosed with thyroid cancer. She said it in a video so that everybody could hear from her own words the statements she had to make. In her own words, the mother of four said that “i will have a nice big scar right here across my neck” she said pointing at the point where the surgery will take place.

The thyroid cancer is not going to be her first thyroid illness. Previously she had become a victim of Hashimoto’s disease which means that after prevention, her thyroid didn’t work. She had a biopsy in July but as she told ModernMum.com, she had not followed the results. Her friend who had thyroid cancer convinced her that she did not have it even after she started putting off an ultrasound for months. She says it is a stupid and lame excuse that she was too busy to have had it checked out eight months earlier when she started getting the signs.

Many people commend her for going public with this and believes that she is a fighter and will come out of these. Her family believes that she is acting strong for their sake as the know just what she is going through. The situation is just getting her more closer to her family as they say she has a strong mind and an incredible heart. For the past few months Brooke Burke has taught us to put on the tough armor as she did. In her video she said that she was used to take care of people like her kids and husband, but now she needs someone to take care of her.

Despite the sad news, Brooke Burke said to her fans that she is feeling strong and good. According to her, she will simply turn this negative situation into a positive one and become a very good patient. A surgery has already been booked and she is willing to do everything that she has to. Her fans have been there to support her along with the ‘Dancing with Stars’ family.
