A BREATH OF FRESH AIR IN THE KENYAN GOSPEL SCENE

She is short and chubby but when she opens her mouth you will be surprised. Mercy Opande, a 3rd year student doing Communication and Media at Egerton University is taking the Kenyan airwaves by storm with her new single LOVE. Mercy’s sound is soft RnB and even though the song is long, you want to listen to it on and on. The song LOVE encourages Christians and Kenyans in general to love one another. Her opening statements are Jesus died for Jews, the kiuks and the Luos. Is this the only song she has done? No, Mercy is not new in the music scene. Remember the DJ Gylo, the guy who accused a pastor of stealing his wife? Mercy had done a collabo with him. She has also backed several artists including Bishop Joseph WW Kamau of Happy Church Ministries International. So this is Mercy’s first single.
