I am very happy for my friend Nancy I mean finally she has gotten the job that she wanted but she will have to move out of town and am already missing her.You see we have been praying together, we talk to one another openly and most of all I like the fact that she is mature and teaches me quite a lot about humility. Friends like her are a gem. No doubt I feel bad but I have to let her fly at least her son is around so at least there is a part of her here. We should take time to pray for our friends and love them more each day and am just happy that I am here when Nancy sings her own version of Oh Happy Day.Amen be blest even as you lie on your pillow.

I have a friend whom at this moment I would like to call Nancy. I met Nancy in church and she was in the protocol department. She is one of those ladies who help with cooking for the pastors and bishops; you can call them the temple bread makers. Nancy is very quiet and very beautiful. Well as for me I have always been a kind of a tomboy and I never grew up with a mother so when it comes to dressing I really sometimes need help. So I gathered up courage one day and approached Nancy. I told her how I liked the way she conducted herself and most of all I loved her sense of style. Funny enough we really talked a lot and I came to discover that she was a year older than me. Nancy is not your everyday young woman, in America you would call her a baby mama but she is more than that. She lost her mother when she was about eighteen years and in the mixture of emotions she got pregnant. She had to be a mother to her siblings and her son. If there is one thing that I have come to appreciate in life it is unconditional love . Love is sweet when it is given out and for the past few days I have experienced amazing love. Last month I decided to apply for a job in a children’s home . At first I did not want to but my friend who saw the advert convinced me to apply. By then I had my own business which was doing well since I could make $300 dollars a week. Well it’s not a big sum in the United States but in Kenya, you can say I was living the life. One week after seeing the advert I applied and told God if He does not want me to go then He should not let me be called for the interview but then I was called. I simply went to the interview as a matter of curiosity but surprise surprise I got the job. My job is to teach the kids after school and doing some light chores like washing and going to the farm.
