Wow, first of all let me apologize for staying away for so long. You see am in final year of campus and boy oh boy am I doing a lot of running up and down and yet am not losing any weight. It was a busy Saturday afternoon for Nakuru residents this past weekend when #JukumuLetu initiative was launched. Good music from the Sarabi band led by one talented vocalist, Nelson Mandela Akello, was really what you could say refreshing while others were simply making noise and that is the real truth. Well it is Friday and as Larry Madowo says, you know what it is. Well today he will be hosting one of the best bands in Kenya, Sauti Sol as they launch their new single, Nerea. Nerea is a song about a man pleading with his girlfriend not to abort his child and the song has raised a lot of concerns. I know that Bahati accused Willy Paul of stealing his song but I will say it as it is, Willy Paul is more vocally talented than Bahati and this time around he actually sang a song that has the word.  Last week we paid our last respects to our classmate, Kevin Maina Wangui. He was only 21 years but death took him. It is said that he allegedly committed suicide but we still ask ourselves if he was so drunk, how did he tie a rope and climb a tree. If he did so then we are so angry that he didn’t trust any of us to share his misery with. What was burning him inside? As if that is not enough, my Friend and brother Walter Akolo yesterday lost his loving wife, Janet Ciru Akolo. They were a great pair and as much as I didn’t know the wife, I could tell from Walter that she was all he needed. I cannot say much but Walter you need to be strong just as she was strong when with you. Cherish those precious memories because they make everything worthwhile.
