Racist Marketing Works

Happy New Year everyone. Yes I know, it’s a bit too late for that but it is still the beginning of a new year. So where have I been all this time? I have been working on lots of things including my weight. Anyway, that is a subject for another day.

There is something going on in advertising and marketing globally. Sex isn’t selling. Women are not sexy enough for brands. It is time that things were shaken up a little bit and what better way to do that except by being racist.

Let us face it, the market is overpopulated with brands and every business wants to make huge profits. So the best way to be noticed is to make noise. This noise should be relevant enough to get you trending for weeks if not for a month. This noise should see you in hashtags and YouTube blogs for free. You should be saving the marketing team money as everyone who seeks attention rides on your ill-gotten fame. This noise, of course, is not targeted towards your buyers; you already know your audience and your target market.

The game is to ensure the loudest noisemaker wins but ensure that you a great and scheming PR team that will draft a really genuine apology that will go round stating how you had no idea that an innocent marketing campaign will hurt people’s feelings, culture, history or religion.

H&M were simply following in the footsteps of what others have done. This act has proven to go unpunished so why not try it. The day of reckoning is not yet known but we are all guilty of this kind of Noise Pollution.
