How To Use A Bootable USB Flash Drive

Computers are great technological accessories anyone in the 21st century should have. They are found almost everywhere and their evolution from large room computers to small hand held devices has come a long way. They help to ease up all our lives in various forms like education, communication; entertainment, security and finance just to mention a few. But what does one do when a situation requiring them to boot from an external device arises and they don't know how to use a bootable USB flash drive? The scenario is heartbreaking but we are going to look at how to make a bootable USB flash drive.
Before we start off on the whole bootable USB flash drive process, it would be good to start off explaining what a USB flash drive is for the benefit of they that have not heard about it or are unsure as to whether it refers to the small rectangular drive they use from time to time. A USB (Universal Serial Bus) is a form of data storage device or gadget that makes use of flash memory just as the name suggests. It is a storage peripheral device and can be found in many types, sizes and shapes, whichever the client prefers. They also come in different storage capacities e.g 128mb, 256mb, 512mb, 1 GB and so on.
So now that we understand what a USB flash drive is all about we can proceed and get to know to make and use a bootable USB flash drive. Booting for those who may not be aware despite doing it almost every day is the process by which a computer that was previously turned off begins to load up its OS (Operating System) into the RAM (Random Access Memory) or in simpler terms it's the whole process by which a computer turns on.
It is important when learning about how to use a bootable USB flash drive to make sure the USB flash drive in question is of a good quality and will not crash at any given time. The flash drive's capacity should also be big enough, something like 4 GB and or higher.
The first thing to do in making a bootable USB flash drive will be to format the above mentioned flash drive. This can be done by connecting it to the computer, going into the computer icon on the screen, right clicking on the flash drive icon and clicking on format. It will take a few seconds. After this is done, one will need to proceed to the programs channel that is located in the start menu and is in relation to the computer one is using. They should then locate the file that has the option of a disk storage format tool. When that is done select the FAT or FAT 32 in the file system then select create disk operating system (DOS) startup disk. When booting on just make sure the flash drive is plugged into the computer. That is how easy it is to make and use a bootable USB flash drive.
